Chris Brown, PGA
Head Golf Professional
Chris is a graduate of The San Diego Golf Academy. He has worked in the industry for almost 15 years. Chris started his career in golf, here at Carlton Oaks in 1999.
“Learning the game of golf should be enjoyable and that is the way I teach it. When working with beginners I like to start at the hole and work back. When working with the intermediate and advance golfers we will work on taking their game to the next level. I not only want my students to work on the range, but also practice on the golf course. The course is where you play the game and it is where you should be the most comfortable.”

First and foremost I want my students to feel comfortable and relaxed during their golf lesson. I like to start each lesson presenting the proper fundamentals of a sound swing and short game. We will use these building blocks to enhance the players swing and overall golf experience.
My teaching philosophy is that perfect practice makes perfect. This is a key factor that I instill with my students to give them a sound platform to work from and reach their personal goals. I enjoy working with all golfers from novices to experienced professionals. If you’re ready to improve your golf game we can work together so you will have more fun on the course and play at a higher level!
1st Assistant Golf Professional
Ryan has been part of the Carlton Oaks Professional staff since 2006. He has over six years teaching experience accompanied with an exceptional knowledge of the game of golf. Ryan has been playing competitive golf most of his life and continues to actively work on his game.
My teaching style is a fun simplistic style to helping someone develop sound fundamentals. I specialize in giving beginning and intermediate players a solid foundation that is essential to learning the game of golf. Along with the beginners and intermediate players, I enjoy working with more accomplished players on short game and on course management. With solid fundamentals and a good work ethic, you can take the next step to a higher level of golf.
“As a PGA apprentice teaching professional it is my responsibility to recognize ability, body and makeup. Then communicate proper fundamentals and correct body motion”.
